Cornerstone Christian Preschool (CCP) is an outreach ministry of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. CCP is committed to nurturing the whole child spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Curriculum consists of both Christian and academic themes.

Cornerstone Christian Preschool was established in 1996 and serves the surrounding areas with quality preschool for children aged three to five.

• Three year olds are offered a two day program that focuses on independence and iterations.
  • A class ratio of two teachers with 12 students is followed.
• Four year old children may choose between a three or four day program.
  • These programs provide activities and experiences to build self-confidence and provide a successful transition into Kindergarten.
  • A teacher/child ratio of 2/14 is provided.
• A four day class is available for five year old children who may benefit from an extra year of enrichment before entering Kindergarten. The ratio for this class is 2 teachers with 15 students.
• All lead teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education or related field. Lead teachers are responsible for lessons plans and parent communication as well as lesson implementation and preparation. Assistant teachers aid the lead in implementation and preparation of the lessons.

A developmentally appropriate curriculum is provided. Daily lessons include activities which aid in the development of emergent math and language skills, science, music, Bible concepts, and both large and small muscle skills.

CCP believes that God is actively involved in all aspects of life. This is reinforced through daily Prayer, Bible stories, and related activities. References to God's love are part of every day.

All CCP staff support the three key relationships which comprise the Mission Statement of Cornerstone Church (known as the 3 c's): Committed to Christ Caring for one another Community because of our love for Christ CCP holds an open door policy which welcomes parents in the classroom and at the school at any time.

Parents are encouraged to assist their child's classroom during special events, field trips, and holiday celebrations. Parents are also able to join a parent auxiliary titled Hand in Hand. This organization works to bridge the gap between school and home, coordinate teacher appreciation, and organize fund raisers. Parent involvement is vital to the success of CCP.
