Care and Recovery

No one escapes this world without experiencing pain and brokenness. The Good News is that we don't have to experience that pain and brokeness alone. We have a Savior who underwent every kind of pain that we will ever endure and is very present in ours at this moment. He came to build a community that reaches out and "carries each other's burdens."

Care Ministries at Cornerstone are led by broken people who have been put back together by Christ. They have walked through the same valley that you may be in now. They want to share with you the hope that you will get through this. There is a hand reaching out to you with no expectations, no obligations. Just the hope that you will be open to the mercy and grace of a God who loves you more than you will ever know.

Please feel free to explore these areas of care & recovery ministries offered here at Cornerstone:

DivorceCare for Kids

Thursdays, Jan. 19th-Apr. 12th, 7:00-8:30pm

Some children struggle deeply with separation and divorce, while others seem to bounce back quickly. But in the long run, all children are affected. The DivorceCare for Kids program will help minimize and eliminate the short- and long-term negative effects of divorce on a child’s schoolwork, relationships, emotional health and spiritual life. DivorceCare for Kids provides the opportunity for children of divorce ages 5 to 12 to experience hope, help and restoration in their lives today and in the future. Call the church office 874-0910 to register or leave questions and a DivorceCare for Kids facilitator will contact you. DivorceCare for Kids follows that same dates and times as DivorceCare. This session runs for 12 weeks. Find out more about DivorceCare for Kids at http://www.dc4k.org

The Big D: Divorce Through the Eyes of a Teen

Thursdays, Jan. 19th-Apr. 12th, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

The teenage population is already in an awkward state of trying to find independence while simultaneously seeking belonging. "The Big D" provides teens a place to belong that is fun and culturally relevant. Information is presented in ways that allow the teen to independently articulate and process the pain, sadness, and other feelings from their parents' divorce or separation. This curriculum works to help ensure that the next generation has an opportunity for a successful marriage.
