Preschool Classes for 3-year olds

Two day classes are offered for three year olds with both morning and afternoon sessions available. A ratio of 12 children with two teachers is maintained.

The focus of the class is social development including:

  • Language is Fascinating: rhymes, finger plays, musical games, songs, conversations, Bible memory verses and stories, activities to learn primary colors, sizes, basic shapes, directional words, and lots and lots of books
  • Wow - Look What My Body Can Do: jumping, running, hopping, catch-and-throw large balls, painting, sensory activities, stringing beads, puzzles, building, scribbling, cutting, drawing, and writing letters
  • Friends are Fun: associative play, sharing, caring, manners
  • I Can Do It Myself: buttoning, washing hands, toileting, expressing needs, taking pride in own work
  • School is New: participating in group activities, following directions, listening, transitioning from one activity to another, being attentive, respecting peers, adults, and materials, exploration of room and new activities
  • I Like to Touch, Smell, Feel, Hear: seasonal themes and science units with lots of chances to use the five senses to explore and understand the world God has made
  • Special Programs: monthly assemblies with Church leaders, once a month special guest speakers, special events for parents, holiday parties

Daily Schedule (Order varies by class)

  • Arrival and Welcome 5 minutes
  • Quiet play - 10 minutes
  • Devotion - 5 minutes
  • Group Time - 10 minutes
  • Activity Time - 60 minutes
  • Bathroom/Snack/Book look - 20 minutes
  • Outside or Gym play - 20 minutes
  • Music, rhymes, games - 10 minutes
  • Closing Circle and Dismissal - 10 minutes
