Play Strong
Play - Sabbath - Rest - it's all very important to building a strong core that is centered on Jesus. Without play we might end up thinking we're the cause of everything that happens.

STRONG, Part 1 – Play Strong

Building a strong core muscle groups has multiple benefits:

  • REDUCES & PREVENTS PAIN

  • MAKES YOU LOOK TALLER & THINNER

  • DELAYS the AGING PROCESS

  • HELPS WITH BALANCE

  • INCREASES MENTAL FUNCTIONING

  • INCREASES ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

 

There is a spiritual core we need to build as well, a core that reduces and prevents pain, helps us stay in balance and increases our ability to hear the Holy Spirit.

 

Through this STRONG series we'll be looking at these essential components of a plan to build a strong core:

 

Play

Pray

Study

Train

Serve

Live

 

Genesis 2:2? By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work

Exodus 20:8? “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

 

John 17:4 “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.”

 

  1. Restores my core

Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

 

  1. Puts me in my place

I'm not the center of the universe and rest, play, Sabbath put me in my place.

  1. Reminds me whose I am

Those who are married to the culture in this life

will be widows in the next.”

Isaiah 30:15?”This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.”
