To view the progress of the building construction that was made possible thanks to your generous contributions and commitments, please visit the Construction Progress Page.
The process we've been engaged in has involved dozens of people on various task forces developing a master plan for the property, assessing space needs of each area, taking into account the condition and cost of maintaining present structures and overall seeking a plan to guide our decisions into the future. On this page are links to a series of documents that represent the work and reports of these groups. They were all presented to the Cornerstone leadership, approved by Cornerstone leadership and have been our guides to making decisions. If you have any questions that are not answered about how we've gotten to this point in our visioning forward, please contact the church office and we can get you in touch with the right people to answer your questions. Campaign Results: With great generosity, Building Lives One Stone at a Time has resulted in a fantastic campaign. Pledges were made in the amount of 765,325.88. Add this to previous giving of 417,481.21 for a total campaign of 1,182,807.09. February 2008 Update: On Sunday, February 8th, Cornerstone gathered for the third and final Church Conference vote on the building project. Approved was a motion supporting the Building Committee and Finance Teams plan for financing and constructing the proposed facility. Bank meetings have happened. Bid packages were assembled and sent out. Permits are being sought. We hope that sometime in the Spring we will break ground but no firm date has yet been set. Campaign Financial Update: Given to date: 524,980.54

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
WHO ARE WE BUILDING FOR?The building we are constructing is for God's Kingdom for the accomplishing of His vision for Cornerstone which is BUILDING LIVES WITH CHRIST AS THE CORNERSTONE. It is a facility that is primarily intended for the use of the Student Ministry but it will be used by all ministries as is every space in the facilities we presently occupy. It has always been the approach of Cornerstone that no one has their “own” space. What God has given us is for all of us. The Clubhouse childcare area would be the possible exception for obvious reasons.
WHAT WILL THIS SPACE BE USED FOR?The large space will be able to handle Sunday morning worship for the teens, overflow on special weekends such as Christmas Eve and Easter, VBS, Children's Ministry, concerts, receptions, meetings, workshops and conferences, Emmaus and Chrysalis weekends and more. Some of these things can be done in the present Worship Center but with two large spaces we will be able to host multiple large groups at the same time. We presently turn down dozens of requests for meeting space, community gatherings, ministry opportunities, etc...because we are out of space. We are all too aware that EVERY ministry area is out of space. We are also painfully aware that we cannot meet all the needs at once. The documents on this page will help you see the due diligence that has been done and the plan for moving forward.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE TRAILER AND HOUSE?In order to build new the trailer must be removed per West Chester Zoning requirements. Part of the lease includes the cost of removal by the company. The house will be used for temporary storage and eventually torn down. No timeline has been established for that work.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNWe are presently engaged in the beginning of a Capital Campaign with the firm RSI. Leadership Teams are being formed and are starting to work. You will begin to see and hear more and more about the Campaign as we approach the kick-off in first few weeks of October. Be sure to put Sunday, November 23rd on your calendar. That will be our celebration Sunday. We are presently seeking a place to hold one huge worship so we can be together for that time. It's a day you won't want to miss as Cornerstone takes a major leap forward in Building Lives with Christ as the Cornerstone.
PRAYERSPlease pray with us as we move forward:

For the past 4 years Cornerstone has been discerning next steps for ministry including but not limited to brick and mortar needs. Our goal is to limit brick and mortar so that we can maximize dollars for ministry but as we all know with people come space needs.
